Anaheim Bolts Suspend Operations for 2013-14

The Anaheim Bolts have announced today it has suspended operations effective immediately for the 2013-2014 Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL) season. Together with the PASL, the ownership of the Anaheim Bolts is currently and actively searching for new investors to purchase the rights to the PASL Anaheim market.
The Anaheim Bolts, who brought professional indoor soccer back to Anaheim in 2011, played the past two seasons in the PASL after two seasons in the Premier Arena Soccer League (PASL-Premier). The last time professional indoor soccer called Anaheim home was in 1997 with the now defunct Anaheim Splash.
“It is with a heavy heart that we make this announcement today, but we are all proud of the fact that we did step up and brought professional arena soccer back here to Anaheim and we have done, and will continue to do, everything we can along with the leadership of the PASL to keep a team here in the future. I’m grateful and would like to thank the many fans, sponsors, players and staff who have supported us through these last two seasons,” Said Anaheim Bolts Managing Partner, Bernie Lilavois.
PASL Commissioner Kevin Milliken added, “The PASL is thankful to the Convention Center, and we maintain an interest in finding the right person/group that can be successful in this market. The PASL is pleased with the revival in interest the Bolts brought back to our sport in Anaheim and the Orange County area.”
About Professional Arena Soccer League and Premier Arena Soccer League

The Premier Arena Soccer League was founded in 1998 as a regional amateur league that gave facility owners the ability to stage elite level amateur games and compete on a regional and national basis. From humble beginnings the league that today is known as PASL-Premier grew to over 50 teams. Citing a need in the marketplace for a professional indoor league with a sensible financial structure the league branched out in 2008 and created the Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL). The PASL started play in 2008-09 with eight teams and today the PASL-Premier serves as its official developmental league. The PASL is a professional league which began play on October 25, 2008. The league, which just concluded its fifth season, is the largest and longest-running arena soccer organization in the US. The Tulsa Revolution and Laredo Diesel have been added for the 2013/14 season. The PASL-Premier just began its 16th season as the nation's top amateur arena soccer league and the official developmental league of the PASL. Both the PASL and PASL-Premier are members of Federacion Internacional de Futbol Rapido (FIFRA).  For more information please visit:
